Our mission is to support and elect Democratic candidates across all levels of government, break Republican supermajorites in the Legislature, and strengthen the Democratic Party in CD3.
This ensures that communities in Northeast Kansas have access to living wages, protected individual liberties and equal rights, strong public education, affordable and quality healthcare, fair elections, and clean air and water.
Who We Are
We are the official organization for the 3rd Congressional District in the Kansas Democratic Party. We are the regional hub for politics, civic engagement, and Democratic Party organizing for Anderson, Franklin, Johnson, and Miami Counties, and a portion of Wyandotte County.
Our Priorities
Republicans won 6 state House races in 2022 by a combined total of less than 1,000 votes. To break the Republican supermajorities in Legislature, Democrats must win 3 House and 3 Senate seats in 2024. To that end, CD3 seeks to:
Send two rounds paid communications to CD3 voters in support of Democratic candidates in the six most contested state House and Senate races in the district.
Develop print and digital media programming to reach 200,000+ CD3 Democrats to expose harmful Republican policies, their spreading of misinformation, and their attempts to mislead the public.
Employ teams for targeted door-to-door voter education and outreach across CD3.
